Isuzu Motors is slowly preparing its truck D-Max for the next season and it will be presented as the 2019 year model. The present generation of this truck is one of the most popular ones on the Philippines soil and this is the main reason why the next generation will have its debut in this land.
Based on the current information the exterior of the 2019 Isuzu D-Max will not suffer any major changes. It will inherit contours and curves from its predecessor. Interior design will also stay the same, but the navigation and other gadgets will be upgraded. The most important change will happen under the bonnet. 2019 model will now have Bluepower turbodiesel engine as an option.
2019 Isuzu D-Max – Design
As mentioned, the 2019 Isuzu D-Max exterior will stay as it was. The current design was introduced in 2015 and was refreshed in 2017. This could be the last year before a major redesign. Even though the look won’t be changed the sale of the new model should not drop down. The lines are still very modern and competitive. The bold and sports frontend combined with attractive headlight still draws an attention. The chrome grill with a large Isuzu sign in the middle appears pretty dominate.
Interior of the higher trims will be covered with leather. The front seats will have heaters and electric adjustment for the more comfortable drive. Gadgets like Power Steering, Door Locks, and Climate Control will come as standard. The new audio system comes with 6 speakers and will have integrated Bluetooth and GPS.
2019 Isuzu D-Max – Powertrain
The biggest refreshment will happen under the hood. New 2019 D-Max will be powered by the Bluepower turbodiesel. This is a 3.0-liter I4 engine. Matched with the 6-speed manual or automatic transmission it can deliver up to 177 PS and 380 Nm of torque. The FWD will come as standard while the AWD will come as an option. The average fuel economy will be around 10.5 km/L. 18-inch aluminum wheels will be inherited from the previous model.
Aside from modern appearance and great performance, new Isuzu pickup truck will be packed with safety features. Front brakes will be with vented discs and rear with drums. Anti-Lock braking system will be standard. Other safety features integrated into this model are Traction and Stability Control, Hill Start Assist and parking sensors with Rear Camera.
Price and Release Date
Taking into account that 2019 Isuzu D-Max comes with the same design as the previous model, the starting price should stay the same. Although the powertrain is new which could influence the costs. A release date is scheduled for the year 2018 and it is realistic that its official presentation happens in the Philippines.
